My client's on the outskirts of Cheltenham wanted a large area of planting to brighten up a lawned area in front of their luxury holiday rental accommodation in the Cotswolds.

 

Having recently visited Hauser and Wirth's gallery in Somerset, they were inspired by the bold and naturalistic planting designed for the gallery's gardens by Piet Oudolf. Based on this I created an area of sweeping borders which we filled with repeating blocks of grasses and perennials to create a diverse carpet of colours and textures with a long season of interest.
