The brief for this Cheltenham garden was to create a space to grow vegetables and herbs while also providing forage and shelter for all our urban wildlife. The garden is viewed throughout the year from both the kitchen and living area and so it is important that the design is structurally sound and creates interest throughout the year.

I've used connecting curves throughout the space which split the garden into distinct sections. Starting with the existing terrace which leads to a small lawn, we are led down the garden into the circular vegetable garden and finally out into a quiet oasis which sits nestled within a small forest garden and a wildflower meadow. The entire garden is softened with wildlife friendly planting which will incorporate as many useful plants as possible.
