Front gardens need to work hard.

Low lavender hedging in this Cheltenham front garden is alive with bees in mid-summer and effectively frames the path which leads from the garden gate up to the front door.

All traces of lawn are gone and have been replaced by a small wildlife pond and a diverse range of plants. A mix of shrubs and perennials provides a long season of interest and an ongoing source of forage for local insect populations.

A small, paved seating area provides space to sit and enjoy the garden.
