It's always encouraging to have clients who want the focus of a garden to be on wildlife.

 

This garden is split over three levels and my clients were finding garden maintenance a little tricky over the awkward slopes. We created gabion retaining walls complete with hedgehog ramps to ensure that the resident hedgehogs are still able to get around the space.

 

The borders are now easy to reach and look after and the gabions and log piles provide additional shelter for insects and other garden creatures.

 

The diverse range of naturalistic planting will provide nectar and pollen over a long period throughout the year and creates additional habitat too.

A lower level seating area has been created to enable my clients to sit and enjoy their outdoor space. I’m looking forward to seeing how the garden develops.
