Having recently extended part of their house, my garden design clients based in Bisley, Gloucestershire wanted me to help them create a functional design for their garden that enabled them to make the most use of the space for entertaining friends and family, growing vegetables, herbs and soft fruit and simply relaxing.

They are lucky to have a garden that backs out onto an open field and so it was important to keep this sense of open space within the design.

I extended the terrace to allow a generous entertaining space where they can spend sunny summer evenings relaxing with a book or entertaining friends.
