Thank you for taking the time to explore this planting display at the Cheltenham Art Fair, held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

This installation has been designed to complement the sculptural work of Jenny Pickford, creating a natural setting that enhances the form, texture and presence of the piece within it.

The planting has been carefully considered to feel both contemporary and connected to the artwork, using a palette of species chosen for their structure and seasonal interest. The aim is to show how planting can soften, frame and elevate sculptural elements within a garden setting.

ABOUT THE PLANTING
​This scheme focuses on a balance of texture, tone and form. Planting is layered to create contrast and depth, allowing the sculpture to sit comfortably within the space rather than feeling placed upon it. Many of the plants used here are suitable for domestic gardens and can be adapted to different spaces, whether you’re looking to introduce a focal point, refresh a border, or create a more cohesive planting scheme.
