CHELTENHAM WILDLIFE GARDEN
My clients in Cheltenham want to transform their garden into a space that they can utilise for growing vegetables and herbs while also encouraging in and providing forage and shelter for lots of urban wildlife. The garden is viewed throughout the year from both the kitchen and living area and so it was important that the design was structurally sound and created interest throughout the year.
I created a curved design which split the garden into distinct sections. Starting with an existing terrace which leads to a lawned area (important for the dog), we are led down the garden into the circular vegetable garden and finally out into a quiet oasis which sits nestled within a small forest garden on the edge of a wildlife pond. The entire garden is softened with wildlife friendly planting which will incorporate as many useful plants as possible.
